The new mortuary started operations under the BOT (Build Operate and Transfer) Scheme, a Lagos State government initiative in 2004 under the management of TOS Funerals Ltd an independent funeral home.

The mortuary facility houses the department of pathology and Forensic Sciences, and is equipped with a Ninety-two (92) chamber refrigerating unit and embalming equipments.

The facility is managed by a team of young and efficient professionals, headed by Mrs. Taiwo Ogunsola, a member of the BIE (British institute of embalmers), NAFD (National Association of Funeral Directors) UK, and NFDA (National Funeral Directors Association) USA.
