Lagos state government in her quest to improve live of her citizens, particularly in the area of social services, that will have direct impact on the general well-being of the teeming population of the State, resolved to frontally address the issue of healthcare delivery through an institution that will provide a comprehensive healthcare services. A word from the Chief Medical Director

I welcome the world to the LASUTH Project. I have always liked to tell people that it has been ‘work in progress’ since the Teaching Hospital came into being at the turn of the millennium. What we seek to do in LASUTH is to create a world-class health institution for the good people of Lagos. Lagos, already one of the most populous cities in the world, and which has always prided itself as ‘the city of excellence’, is itself developing rapidly into a Mega-City. Its ambitions are tall, and basically focussed on thrusting Lagos into the forefront of international cities.
